Thread regarding Sears layoffs

To the person who keeps saying pebble it or take it to management

THE BIGGEST UNWRITTEN RULE OF ANY JOB THAT PAYS UNDER 100K IS THAT YOU DO NOT BRING PROBLEMS TO THE ATTENTION OF MANAGEMENT DIRECTLY. BRINGING PROBLEMS TO THE ATTENTION OF MANAGEMENT DIRECTLY WILL GET YOU FIRED BECAUSE IT WILL COST THE COMPANY MONEY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. OPEN DOOR POLICY MEANS THAT YOU WILL BE SHOWN THE OPEN DOOR IF YOU EVEN BEGIN TO THINK ABOUT RAISING AN ISSUE. This is why retail sees failure and problem #1 in most retail corporate culture. Until this changes retail will continue to fail.

alright mr pebble, I posted several times on pebble about getting items from closing stores, I was ignored or told to talk to my store manager, which led nowhere. when id post back that they acted clueless or incapable of finding out, my posts would be deleted.....never had anyone give me grief about my posts, but probably due to my incapable manager not wanting to make any more problems lol. my lead in backroom tried to order a charger for our snicks, and a hr guy said oh we have those from closing stores, ill send you one. so thinking hmmm lets inquire about snicks, sleds, hand trucks, you name it, we got crickets......

@azd I agree with you. He has already shown that we don't need the stores to sell Kenmore, DieHard, or Craftsman with online shopping at Amazon and other retailers. He can also distribute the brands at other brick and mortar retailers such as Ace, Lowe's and others. The pricing and selection is also better as a whole at the other retailers. I walked into a Lowe's here in California and saw a very full selection of Craftsman products the majority of which were priced lower than at Sears. Of course the Sears selection was limited and not near as full. Unfortunately, it's only a matter of time.

I think as soon as Eddie is approved to buy the Kenmore and Diehard brand the plug will be pulled on the whole company

I honestly believe that Eddie has come to the realization that Sears is doomed.....The more money that he lends it, the faster sales decline and the faster the money is spent.....He may say otherwise that Sears is trying like hell to survive but anybody with common sense can see the writing on the wall.

Customers are abandoning Sears in droves... Pebble is not going to make any difference in the downfall of a once great company....All Eddie is doing is delaying the inevitable shutdown of the company.
