Our Club is age discrimination. They are only hiring young people. Big Company like Sam's n Walmart could offer better benefits to their employees. The Insurance is next to none. Small companies have better insurance to offer their employees than this huge Corporation. Greedy just greedy.

Headline would be more accurate to indicate wmt to hire one million H1B's and H2B's to replace American workers.

Absolutely right!

We are assets and Walmart is losing, everyone with experience! It’s in all areas of the company. They should learn how to treat their people, have a training class for that! I’ve seen 35+ walk right out the door without notice. Seems like that would be a red flag to someone at home office. It’s a sad company, Walmart doesn’t even know their clientele anymore. Down 10 percent company wide should be a clue. RUN!

Same at the DC I work at. We've been effed over so bad for so long that the place is on the verge of collapse along with the entire company. Most all the good workers have left due to never seeing a raise, working every holiday for nothing and the stolen sick hours along with piles of other BS. Walmart has given us all the incentive in the world to do as little as possible so we do. The only thing keeping us running is a bunch of crack heads from the temp services and even with them we fall behind. We will be completely screwed this fall when we actually get busy. This company is on the verge of collapse because they are to stupid to realize they need to take care of their employees, we aren't a liability we are an asset and we are leaving in droves!

How is the message stated by the OP "outstanding?" Training over 1 million new associates over the next few years means there is high turnover in the stores; that's a problem. There are negatives in terms of missed revenue and poor customer experience when turnover in retail is too high. Agree with jvd, the tuition "perk" is lipstick on the pig, with lots of restrictions for the pig, lol.

Read the following article for more information on the negative effects of high turnover:

Whatever. They give the good jobs to young people with no college over the older experienced people with college! I have seen it throughout my career. Terrible decision makers!!

The tuition program is worthless for 75% of the associates. The devil is in the details.

Due to attrition this is likely a net gain of zero
