To @yxa & @eni, if nothing else you are both amusing, mostly to the Boomers but probably the Gen-Xers as well.

You two love to change the narrative to fit the facts as you see them....how naive! What do you think we see when we watch young incompetence stroll through the doors with degrees flashing and the inability to learn. I can’t very well call you stupid, hell that train left you at the station long ago! I guess I will just have to call you....Millenials, yup that pretty much sums it up.

You seem to be from the cartel of VDSI longtimers. What made you to sit in a company whose role was a mere cost center, when so much was going in the IT space outside of verizon? The so called managers in VDSI don't have the maturity or knowledge of even freshers of the present generation. Most of these guys joined Verizon 12-20 years back when there was no such great supply of engineers and the hiring bar of VDSI was low. They neither have impressive academic qualifications nor have acquired cutting edge IT skills during their tenure in VDSI. The absence of accountability, cronyism, complacency is the prevailing culture in VDSI. If you refuse to see this, you are welcome to live in your utopia. But the fact is VDSI is one massive failure and you longtimers especially who are in the management track are part and parcel of this failure.

My above criticism won't apply to very few good longtimers who are in the tech track.

Always love the work but never love the company..Time for all of us to wake up and do what is good for us..

Cry me a river. As someone who has been here for 7 years I have seen the people with 15+ years cruise day in and day out. Putting in 2 hours if that while surfing the latest sale or gossip on company time. One out of every 20 actually do work but the majority of you old timers have been living a dream. Time to WAKE-UP!

I have a confession, I’m a Long Timer who came over from the T Layoff threads, with curiosity and to see how the other half lived. Everyone here has, and feels the same feelings as we do. The same gut wrenching wait to see if we get surplussed every quarter, the the anger when many of us do. Being kept in Limbo takes its toll and a venture over to our ‘Thread’ would show a familiar sight.

Most of us know that telling our spouses “it’s going to be a work weekend” is not an unusual event and if the truth be further known, if we sacrifice long ours then our families sacrifice them as well.

But if I had to encapsulate a letter, and send it to our CEO Randy, this would be the one. Thanks OP

Not hating but its kinda ironic hearing this coming from managers who were laughing while we were on the picket line. The sad thing is this only means worse news for associates.
