Try to keep up. I'm aware of what your check says...mine used to say the same thing when I worked for Home Services. My point was that IF it were sold or spun off it could and would be fine. You seem a little upset...I understand why. Just relax a little.
I have been a Sears/A&E tech for years. I am paid by Sears holdings. If they file, regardless of how in-home services is doing. A&E does not pay the bills. Sears Holdings does. Soo there is that.
Home services does way more than just service Sears bought appliances, recreation eq. and lawn tractors. They also run under the name A&E Factory Service. Servicing Lowe's, Home Depot and multiple home warranty companies. I don't know what's going to happen to it but it could stand on it's own without Sears. If no one buys it...then it goes down with the ship. I hope you have a plan B...don't count on the buy or spin off.
Good lord there are some really stupid people here today! When talking about the fate of services there's this little gem....." we still have in store lead generators,....."
So when those stores are closed? Where do they sit then? Their vans? The local McDonalds?
Yeah Home Services will be just fine....
No techs had routes today. Routing department was shut down. Glitch or something. Routes are back up now. But even the routing department new of some serious problems looming.
not true, the home improvement
division is very profitable. we still
have in store lead generators,
and in my market, which is southern
wisconsin, we still exhibit at all
major festvals, including a huge
display at wisconsin state fair.
The whole thing is done
I doubt that home services dies. It likely will be sold on the auction block as part of the bankruptcy to another retailer or service company
It would be the same as what happens to the full line stores and auto. There has been attempts to sell home services off but no takers on the deal yet.
Without the stores, Home Services has no reason for being.
Say "bye-bye!"
Considering it is part of the company it also would close in bankruptcy, it is also severely unprofitable despite the hype.
