Wow, you must be returning a lot of stuff in order for this to be triggered. Also, is the stuff your returning the original item. They can track all that now if it is going back to the return center.

@hif I wish it was that easy. I worked with a woman who returned things all the time. She would buy something, use it for years, she's done with it then return it. It's the same as a member. Stupid company looks the other way. It's managements fault for allowing those things to continue.

Now if it's obvious you're stealing from the company, you're gone.

If I was having a wedding and bought 10 tables and 100 chairs and then returned them after the wedding should I be fired, if I buy a power washer in spring and return it in the fall should I be fired. Maybe a tv for the Superbowl. You can have receipts, doesn't mean you shouldn't be fired. Hell, the fact that you're talking about a confidential investigation is enough to get you fired, as subtle as you've been about your identity I'm sure they could figure out who you are faster than a delivery from Dominoe's

That'll teach you to shop at Sam's or Walmart anymore 😂😂

But seriously, if you did nothing wrong and have your receipts then you're fine.

I have to ask though. How much stuff are you buying that's come back broken which triggers the system or a person? If that much stuff is coming back broken then why shop there? Costco has better quality, and you'll get the same delas.

If you need to prove your innocence even more, go print out your bank statements where you made each purchase. You should be fine.

If you have done nothing wrong or unethical as regards the purchase / return policy you should have no cause for concern.

However, I believe there is more to it than that . Not suggesting anything illegal but something looks like it’s a problem, and honestly it usually is something that exploits a hole in the system. If you have done that, then you will be terminated. If you answered honestly and your statement reflects that, you will be cleared. Just because you Can do something, does not mean you should. My Spidey Senses say you found a systemic opportunity, or some one showed it to you, now you’ve been called to account. There are reasons this type of activity is being looked at...

You will not be fired if you did nothing wrong.

You might as well tell us the whole story and not the version where you sound completely innocent. I mean you're getting fired anyways.

I just felt like the guy was very one sided. So basically I’ll get fired for “abusing” the return system even though the online department refunded me for all the items I ever sent back with no issues

Something triggered the investigation. If you have your receipts and can justify your purchases and there is no evidence of wrong doing on your part( Refund Fraud) you will be cleared. Only you would know the answer to that. If there is no reason to pursue that issue, then you will be cleared. No issue. That is why Global Ethics is independent of Club Operations.

What’s the resolution... I returned everything that ever arrived damaged to online so why would I have an issue if online is refunding me saying I returned those items....

If you had a “guy” come in to speak to you about an issue w returns , it is an Ethics Investigation. Someone has contacted HO

suggesting you have or could be involved in illegal or unethical conduct. Does not sound like the real story. However, most likely AP/ HR are investigating a complaint lodged by a fellow Manager or Associate. Could also be a Red Flag triggered by your activity in the Returns que which needs to be monitored. Bottom line it will be investigated, get to the core complaint , and if you have done nothing wrong that will be the recommendation of Global Ethics to Operations. HR will deliver the decision to you personally. You also should not be discussing the matter as it is Confidential. I’m sure you were told that as well. I am also assuming you are the focus of that investigation . Resolution often will take a week or more. You will know soon enough.
