For the person who was talking about 60 days notice, here is a collection of posts that explains why they do not have to give a 60 days notice (severance in lieu of notice)

My cousin's step brother's adopted pet parakeet's sister-in-law knows a guy who heard from a friend that they know a guy who specialized in the removal of 24 inch carpet tiles from 2 story buildings with blue trim that they got a job in State Line coming up. Reliable source.

A total shutdown would call for a WARN memo 90d before-hand, per the DOL. So. Probably not June. You gorillas.

Where did the person in SD get their info? Hopefully, not from rumors or the info on this site. I think it is closing btw, but not sold on the June 28th date. Only time will tell.

In a way I can't be mad at the site leadership. They just follow orders. I'm sure it's from way higher and they will tell Joel when hes allowed to release the info to the employees. I doubt there will be much notice if any.

The IT people who were given notice were from the technology group and are programmers, etc. not the ones who deal with computers. Heard 28 out of 30 folks were impacted. Shame we have to come here to try to find out information.l because Citi won’t tell us. Site leadership is really failing us. Clearly they don’t care about us letting this linger for almost 6 months now.

She just said sometime in June, no date was given. I presume it will be loaded in aspect soon. The last town hall was pretty grim.

I know a few people who have been here at the Hagerstown site for years... Ranging from 5 to 25+. It is sad because before there was always a bit of hope of going to another dept or that you would still have a job if JD occurred or if there were cuts. Now, not so much... I think most of us have 0 hope at all left. Hagerstown is basically a Citi call center handling Credit, from retail to banking/branded cards, and other things in between. I never hated my job there, and if you did then not sure why you still work there lol. Citi has been good to a lot of us, but if this sh-- occurs then it really shows that site leadership has little to no balls nor care for us regular employees. There's no confirmation really with these newer rumours, but we all know something is coming... If it is closing we're tired of resorting to a rumour mill website, we just want to know. Of course they won't until it's time to leave, if I was the CEO I'd make it that way too. Just s---s for us lesser folks. Blessings to y'all, I know this was one of the better jobs in the area to actually make some money without having a degree.

South cal...Hagerstown is a credit card site which still has some mortgage employees (soon to be gone). As of March we had around 1200-1300 employees. It keeps dwindling week by week. Five years ago probably had 2300 employees.

They have paid out like you are working for 60 days not actually have you report to work for that 60 day window. If they do that still the daycare wouldn't need to be open since you aren't coming in to the site.

I heard that there has to be a "home" site within 100 miles if you work from home.

Any word on the individuals who work from home? Curious if they will lose their job too?

Then they could close the day care earlier.. they already barely have any kids there as it is

Doesn’t make sense. Why would they let the MD employees go end of June and by MD law pay them for 60 days when the daycare isn’t closing till August 30th?

Makes zero sense to fund the daycare if the people who work for Citi are off paid for 60 days and their kids aren’t there.

As of right now Hagerstown site is closing Friday June 28th and we are having a big town hall on Wednesday June 19th. This has been confirmed by someone in the SD office who has been told to start preparing for more workload since Hagerstown site will be closing. More layoffs will be coming soon aside from the people that was let go yesterday 05/15. Building 2 had pictures posted last week saying the building is for lease and first floor would be available in 60 days which would be around the beginning of July.

I actually just think this is poor poor poor site leadership that we all have to resort to a “gossip” site about rumors with Citi. Shame on anyone in leadership who doesn’t have the balls to tell us the truth !

Agreed. There are a few people who left and have some wild ideas that they hear based on nothing. I keep hoping someone in leadership shoots straight soon.

My dept is different and I would be training my replacement. No one else touches work I have to do. I’m just saying some things Don’t add all the way. Also if you no longer work at Citi, people shouldn’t be commenting on things they have heard from the outside. There’s enough of that.

We wouldn't train our replacements and if they were being trained at another site and we may not know. When we were let go in CRT they didn't have us talking to new folks they just increased numbers at other sites and surprised everyone. Still curious to hear what's actually happening and when if leadership would share.

A department I work in sent out an email the other day about part time schedules or 100% commitment for week long segments of vto... not looking good and has me super concerned sense some of our work starts going offshore permanently on the 20th.

Hmm..if there was supposed to be a February closure how was there not more being moved out or people losing their jobs? A Credit dept JUST moved some of their workload off shore. I’m not in credit however and literally nothing has touched my workload. I’ve gotten MORE work and haven’t trained anyone. I would have to train a replacement. I’m not saying no one has lost a job or that no one will. Just some of this sh-- doesn’t sound all that on point. People keep saying jobs are being lost but can’t give a dept...how many...not a lot of details?? When I’ve been there around the JDs we knew numbers.

Info that we all have been waiting for is what's happening with our jobs in Hagerstown ? Hagerstown was originally to be closed in February of this year. It was delayed until other sites could handle the load. Hagerstown site will be closed in the near future. Is this just another rumor ? No. and i'll tell you why. Two suits stopped and had a conversation about it. They didn't know i was close and could hear them talking . This conversation happened yesterday ( 5/15/ 2019 ) when the suits were walking the floors. I debated whether or not to share what i heard. In the end i decided i would want to know and that's why i'm sharing the info. They did not mention the date of closing. although they did not say a date, they did say it was stressful not being able to tell people who were asking them and they were glad that people would soon know
