Wrong answers could cost your job, slow payraises, or target your entire department for elimination. Go back and read the questions to see what they want to know. You think they're going to use your honest answers to target your team for a well-deserved bonus? That they know what items the company should change, yet somehow need a survey to decide on which one to tackle first?

Naive, at best. But they're piggybacking on people's hope for positive change.

I'm sorry that's the reality of what they're doing with our hopes for honest employee participation.

Verizon doesn't care about the survey. It happens to be on someone's PA and they go through the motions to check the box. If they were really concerned about the results of the survey you would see them put action items to correct the situation. They wont do that what they will do instead is twist the CREDO to their interpretation to make the survey fall inline with that. I agree with the previous viewers comments it is a way to track your comments year after year and determine if you are getting better or worse. They use this information, trust me, to target employees. As a result nothing is confidential, so don't fall into that falsehood they portray. It is all about the company 100%. The dark evil Wizard behind the curtain !!!! EMPLOYEE BEWARE fully warned.

I agree, VZPulse seems to be more about the employee communications department working to monitor and change employee sentiment.

If there is disagreement on something simple such as the Credo being a "competitive advantage", what happens next? Does the Credo get reworked or do we get more articles and emails and videos which try to convince us that the Credo really is Verizon's competitive advantage?

I have not seen where taking any company survey amounted to any change of value. In fact, I gave up on taking the surveys about two surveys ago when one of the results was in the %60 range and the company stated they felt that was a passing grade.

Any management that thinks %60 is a passing grade needs to be escorted to the door.

The Pulse survey DOES bring change. Go back and read the actual questions. Notice anything special? Perhaps they want to track something from year to year?

Honey, the survey isn't your big chance to change Verizon. The survey is about bringing change to YOU. They're measuring you, your thoughts, and how they've changed since the last survey. Not the company's!

NOW do you know why it is so important for YOU to respond with your honest personal opinions?
