Are you working at least 46 hours a week? If not are you being "counseled" to work more?

I'm with poster ddbb. I work but never more than 40 hours. If boss keeps me 1 hour late I show up 1 hour late the next day and go out for a long lunch. Let's face it.... if you are not mobile like Darius says your career is over. I'm not mobile so I know my days are numbered and no promotions.... so I just earn my pay and don't work 1 minute of free overtime
Just got my Cardio-doctor to sign-off on my paper work to HR requesting accommodation for exemption to sustained weekly OT thereby keeping me to no more than 40hr work week. OK, now lets see what happens next.
I work 20 and charge 46 (6 of these from home).
Was told by boss in tier meeting that leadership says it is important that you can step away, take vacation w/o computer, completely disengage, spend time with family. Very next day in tier we were told improvements not happening fast enough and we need to take it up a notch - more projects and faster completion. Mean while we have no back ups so anyone who takes time off has no back fill - work piles up waiting for your return and other groups complain that work isn't done. Upon return you are asked what your plan is. So step away and disengage and still make it happen. Hypocrites. They really don't care. So many roles anymore at Hon single point failure. Its all about that big buyback plan
I still come into the office everyday and collecting my salary
However after they froze the pension, WFH (work only from Honeywell office), delay in 401k match, no more secured vacation for band 4s...., I retired in place. Zero over time. Plenty of time for lunch. Plenty of phone calls to family, friends, coworkers.... I do some work but this new PFHWW (pension From Honeywell While Working) is a nice supplement to my retirement plan
Definitely no overtime and doing 100% of the opposite I can easily survive this 5 years to 65. Thanks for demotivating me DA CEO
50-60 a week average but I'm not salaried and the work is mostly RQ so no push back. As long as I can keep up the extra OT is welcome.
It doesn’t make any sense to increase work hours with such constant decreases in benefits. Call me crazy. Actively looking elsewhere.
I was, but F--- THAT Sh--!!! I’m lucky enough to punch the retirement button at age a58!!
ALT leadership pushes work down, pushes workers to get more done, avoids conversation with the workers, makes sure the charts are getting done and pushes the chart maker to show the right numbers. Oh and think about what there next job is going to be. No work being done in any of those items.
It k--ls me to watch 90% of the T3 and T4 managers ever put in more than 40 hours. Some do, but most do not. These are the ones who have to tell us to work 46+ hours per week, but don’t put in the extra hours themselves.
Bunch of hypocrites!
@YKy4lFp-3srq, yea but he sounds like he is part of ALT, what work do they actually do? Its clear their policies and methods really did not take much time to think about...?
I got a real kick out of the last post...raw honestly!
I work about 20 hours a week. The other 20 gets spent spacing out. It looks like im working but im actually just staring at my desk, tablet, phone, internet, listening to music, taking smoke breaks or bullsh*tting with co-workers. That is the benefit of being hourly and working the off shift.
I charge the overtime so as not to attract negative attention from my boss. But you better believe I don't work the overtime. Who would?
After the mandatory OT initiative...
Eating lunch = work
Driving to work = work
Talking to coworkers about non work related topics = work
I do not believe in mandatory overtime for salaried employees. We ALL deserve to be financially compensated for the time we put in. Ever look at your paychecks? We are paid our hourly rate (derived from our salary) * 80 hours. If we are now being asked to work 90 hours per pay period, then we should all expect no less than to see 10 additional hours of pay added to our paycheck. Until that happens, people will continue to work 40 hrs/week, and I think that's perfectly understandable.
9-9-6: 9:00AM-9:00PM 6 Days a week. Darius loved that with Schuzho China. In fact Harvey Weinstein, sorry I mean Dave Cote, commended that Darius was more cut-throat and spring boarded him into roles that got him this gig as CEO.
I'm not. I'm leaving the company soon anyway. I already received an offer from LHM with way better benefits. The best employees are leaving the company. Honeywell will only have mediocre people soon.
hell no. overtime is for s---ers.
Tempe makes touch employees work “scheduled overtime” if you don’t the write you up.
Nope. 40hrs flat. And yes, my manager is suddenly worried about our professional development. He insists to enroll Coursera c-ap.
No. Why? To line the Vultures pockets? They talk about Ethics and Integrity. They wouldn't know what that was if it slapped them in the face.
1ihu you are a s----ah . Go ahead. work yourself to death .

Yes. 50-55 hrs a week.
I was told to do 46 even if I had to charge overhead. Screw'em!!!
They lost me on the 46+ hour work week when they canceled 2 of my projects. Still busy, but not enough for 46 hours unless I blow it on overhead.
I refuse to do OT on overhead.
So for me, I’m not doing 46+ hours per week...
Exact 40hrs here.
I am putting in paper-work for medical disability that I claim exemption from sustained OT due I have to take Bp meds with my heart stent . Bp meds have side effects like tiredness and joint pain. After 8 hr day at work I really start dragging .
