Got laid off today with 60 day pay and time to look for another job either internally within company again or externally. Oracle cloud business is going down!

Larry promised his cloud would be bigger than AWS years ago, yet the entire thing is a mess and getting nowhere while the competition is streets ahead. They have had so many resets I'm surprised they haven't figured out the source of the problem.

And so it will have to be (or everyone d#es trying) as O calls every revenue dollar and every product left "CLOUD" until the whole thing rains downfall.

"I'm sorry you lost your job, but layoffs do not mean that Oracle's cloud business is going down. Sure, it might; but that would be for reasons unrelated" You might want to open your eyes...

Having been through this, don't waste your time trying to find something internally, everyone else is doing the same and all of the open reqs will have been taken by people that were moved in anticipation of the RIF or had a heads up.

The best thing to do is to put the place behind you and start looking around and knocking on doors. You'll get there.

Oracle cloud isn't going down, it is down, or should I say, it never made it. Customers and the industry hate Oracle. They have had so many resets I'm surprised they haven't figured out the source of the problem.

there's little cloud business by anyone's measure and you lost your job because of the inept and corrupt a--wipes that pretend to manage the company, the development and the support orgs. Customers hate us-with very good reasons-and run as soon as they can break free. No one "wants" to buy our cr--py cloud, but most are stuck with it because it's sold at c-level. Technical people don't choose it, ceo and cio's do.
