Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Do they have a list of locations that are set for closure?

Or are they deciding in the process? If this was a normal company I think the answer to this question would be obvious, but we’re not a normal company, are we? Is there any method in which we can determine what locations have the greatest potential to be closed?

They do however the list under consideration changes weekly. Several phases prior to determining if a site is to close or reduce work.
Either way , the process from start to finish is approx. one year and that's quick. By the time they go through all the phases and review contracts, set up new suppliers if they change, negotiate supplier costs, get work shipped ahead to meet RTAT, set up tooling, work instructions, capture hidden factory its at least a year away.

We've been hearing a little more than just Rumors that Anniston R&O is on the list of sites to go. A lot of shady stuff has been happening here in the last few weeks. This past week they shut the shop down for financial close because we "Made our Money" for the month lol. This week everyone is on 40 hours a week with back logs in the red consistently. The finance manager here is about useless, the site leader has no idea what's going on or what anyone's job requirements are and also talks to most people like they are garbage, and the supervisors are just trying to get through the day till 2:30pm so they can go home with the rest of the shop. Get out of Anniston while you can. Abandon ship!!

@3qmn - how much of Mpls / GV Aero is headed to Urbana as part of Project Frozen? Salaries are much, much lower in Urbana than in Mpls.

Urbana isn't closing - Minneapolis/Golden Valley is at least partially coming your way courtesy of Project Frozen.

All I can say is that if your site has less than 500 people, better start looking. One site we just spent over $4M renovating a blding we didn't even own that is going to be absorbed into Chicago. Going to be a bad day there soon!

If your facility is in the CONUS or Canada, it's on the list for being closed.

Target is 50% reduction. So roll the dice st 50% chance your site could close

yes they have a list - most of these closures have been in process for over a year, they're just all under NDA clauses currently which blocks the release of the site names. there's only a handful of people on the NDA's and they're not telling.
