Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

The Main Problem

Clubs that are informed that a regional manager is coming to visit, load the hours up of employees and managers working 16 hour days 7 days a week to make the club look good enough to make like the company direction is working.... those clubs have retained their GMs and market managers. The clubs that were caught by surprise ended differently.

@bry spot on! Market managers notify their favorites when they are coming. If you are not one of their "Yes" bots, they surprise visit you regularly and even the slightest issue they exaggerate beyond measure. I think we should take pictures of all clubs at all hours of the day here in CA and post them all on Furbers page. Sadly retaliation for speaking up or showing the truth would be worse so it's not worth it. There are many cms and other assistants in positions they should have never been "placed" in. They certainly didn't earn them. They think assistant managers & fellow associates at different clubs don't communicate with each other. They have no backbone or integrity.

I agree, nothing gets addressed that way. Company thinks it is the fault of club management and not their direction , expectations, or poor decisions if the clubs are messed up. There use to be backbones that would stand up and say that their direction was not working, they were eliminated. Let's get real, HO never hears anything about the lower tiers because the Markets have have beer goggles on. This due to the over compensated efforts at club level to busy themselves to make sure direction is followed. The reality is that it is not working. Employees are overwhelmed, under staffed, and needed in to many areas now to have it work halfway correct. HO is too focused on profit reports rather than what efforts are put in to create those. It has trickled down to lower management because they fear their jobs are on the line. Those goggles are getting foggy.

You won't see an episode of undercover boss featuring the company. They have lost sight in what matters.
