Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Anybody else regretting not being laid off?

I'm just thinking - I was so worried and stressed out over a possibility of being laid off...and for what? Now I'm positive those who walked away with severance got the better deal.

I'm about ready to walk away myself, only with no severance. So, yes, now I wish I didn't stress so much. And I wish I was laid off.

Don’t continue to stay. Go on indeed and place your resume there are thousands of jobs out there just waiting for you. There is life after Sams and WalMart. This company doesn’t deserve us.

I took severance, and it wasn’t a whole lot, but I’m loving it! I was a loyal PTC and saw some sh– that the mgrs do to the employees. Y’all just don’t know. No, you really have NO IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT. Anyway, I thought about possibly going back for about a minute and I’m so glad I didn’t! Retail s—s, the members are mean, the mgrs are under so much stress that it trickles down. They have zero control over the club hardly. I found a job that’s NOTin retail and I’m so relieved.
Just watch out for the lies and the inconsistencies among treatment of the associates. Keep your eyes open, that’s all. Good luck to all of you.
Peace

So glad I got laid off then decided to accept severance. I spent a lot of years, too many as I look back, working for Sam's in CA.
Although with all the money I could be making in overtime, I hear these days due to understaffing, would have been kinda nice.
But then again, the place has gotten pathetic and clubs looks awful all the time. I couldn't deal with that. Some things not worth the money.
At least its easier not to have standards to live up to anymore, especially standards regarding the treatment of people.
They have to change their business as they can no longer compete with Costco.

Let's be honest. If they had offered severance to everyone when block scheduling was presented, everyone would have left.

What severance? Sam’s Club is trying to save money but also losing lots of money for being short staffed

Just stop coming to work. Don’t quit. Continue to collect your paycheck until they figure out you are gone. I predict you can get about six weeks out of them.

Go ahead no one will even realize you are gone. 6 months later someone will say. “Hey what ever happened to **** “ and then be replied back with “who?”
