Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel ISP rehire policy?

I hear that Intel is rehiring some of the 2016 ACT laid off employees.

Does anyone know whether Intel has changed policy on hiring back EMPLOYEES laid off though 2016 ACT ISP (basically all those level 4 stock folks)? Earlier INTEL said that ISPs will not be rehired.I had 4 successive years of EE rating. But received ISP due to level 4 stock.

Please stop Intel from abusing their employees.

Don't take the buyout. Just find x employees take those guys to court. Enough is enough!

DONT BUYOUT NEXT TIME. JUST TAKE THOSE ... TO COURT CLASS ACTION STYLE. THEY ABUSE, ABUSE ABUSE. FACE INTEL SUPER OLD. INTEL ALSO MISTREATS ITS H1B COZ THEY DONT WANT TO FLY BACK HOME. SO THE ABUSE COMES FROM MANAGERS AND THEY HAVE JUST HAVE TO TAKE THE ABUSE.

I was fired after family / medical leave and then put on permanent no rehire list for job abandonment. Can I be rehired and if so how?

We recently tried unsuccessfully to bring someone who was ACT'd out. They are currently GB. But HR in US (we are PG) said 'NO'. It was very close.

It won't be for long, layoffs are coming very soon....all those contractors are the full-time replacements- they are hired and trained and you trained yourself out of a job.

I know from reliable sources that there is no company-wide policy change but depending on how a manager/vp pleads his case for an ex-ISP employee, HR considers the case. Some have SL 4s and 5s been re-hired.

We had one ISP out of our group in 2016. Problem: she was our admin. Since every BU was required to participate in ACT (despite 20% growth the previous year (and as it turned out the following two years as well, not to mention a further rampup this year) she was thrown to the wolves. Predictably, everything requiring an admin went to $h!t, and despite having THREE admins now has yet to fully recover. Within six months she was getting calls from multiple Intel BUs (including ours) to return...I think you can guess her response...

You wouldn't believe the number of re-hires....the place is flooded with both new hires and re-hires in Arizona.

The Intel people from 2016 are long gone and most would never ever consider returning...

I am on the same category on ISP 2016, but did not hear the same info as you did.

That would be news to me, I haven’t heard of any policy change. But it’s not like they announce things to employees anymore.

If you took VSP in 2016 layoffs at Intel, you are eligible to be re-hired. If you were ISP'd (walked out the door) you can never be re-hired. Why would you want to go back to a company that kicked you to the curb?

Why would anyone voluntarily or involuntarily affected by ACT want to return to Intel? The work enviorment is worse today compared to 2016.
