Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Put yourself first

I worked as a– for 3 years and was so stressed everyday from management I literally couldn’t eat or sleep. I made the choice to leave Verizon for another sales position. I’m making about $30k less a year but I’ve never been happier. I’m begging all of you, if you are miserable, find another job. The money isn’t worth being miserable. At the end of your life you’ll only regret not being happy.

I don't know how you are stressed out. I work in network assurance and I work maybe 25 hours a week. I run a computer business on the side and I drop my kids off at school and pick them up every day. With all the layoffs nobody knows which way is up

I left a little over a year ago. Took a 20k loss. I totally got away from sales and retail. Starting a new this Monday making back around 45k. . It's still not what I was making before but its climbing back up there. Folks just have to take that first step and get out. Get away from that bad karma causing situations. The micromanagement, the crazy customers. Trust me, take that first step and start a new journey

It looks like I’ll be making 20k a year less with these insane quotas and terrible commission structure.
