Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Major cuts in Texas by the end of August

I hear they are going to cut 3,500 people in Texas by the end of August. I do IT recruiting and the facts are not always the facts but I was speaking with a Cisco resource that told me he had 4-5 friends that also want to speak with me because they are all getting laid off. I usually don't believe any of this stuff but when someone refers 4-5 friends to you from the same company and they all share their respective resumes with you — it makes you start to wonder–maybe these guys are right !

Bumped from @VTkYoIC-4ciid for important info.

Does the good numers relate to revenue or forecast? Cause LR decisions are usually made based on 2 year outlook, not past.

This is BS. Texas numbers are doing extremely well in all segments.

I can assure you this is BS. I'm a red badge recruiter who covers the TX offices and this is not true.

LR's in CX should begin to be discussed next week; not sure of any reason why a specific region let alone a U.S. state, would be targeted!
