Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

No reason for things to get better

As bad as this stamets sounds, I’m afraid it’s the truth. The leaders don’t seem to be worried too much about the way things stand at the company, even more, they seem to be generating this on purpose. When you’re lead by people who are not afraid to run the company to the ground and where there are shareholders that don’t seem to be having any problems with that, it looks like that it’s next to impossible for things to turn out for the better..

True. They are systematically eradicating full time employees. Store managers have been instructed to harass, intimidate, threaten, and make life so miserable that full timers quit. I am an ASM, so I know.
It's absolutely true that we are all looked upon as the problem.
In my store, we are 40% under staffed vs the same time last year. Each full time employee who has left in the past 10+ months has not been replaced.

The new leadership believes touch screens can better serve the customer.

In our store, all desks and stations have been removed and extra merchandise / stock and racking took its place.

For years, my store has had no lumber staff and ignored. Pro guys were simply expected to be lumber associates.

The new oath of Lowe's is one for degenerates, and unethical corporate pigs. They care not for customers, or employees. Lowe's will fall just like all other PC if chit retail chains led by the same 🐒.

This is absolutely true, the point I think is that Carvin Marvin and the Marvinettes want to loose people, the more full time tenured associates that quit the leaner payroll becomes and the can replace them with seasonal/temp and part time employees. Soon there will be no one there that remembers schedule rotations, LP, HR, hell the won’t even know who Niblock was let alone Bob Tillman. The fact of the matter is if you are a tenured full time associate that is not comfortable with the way the company is going they WANT you gone. I’m very happy to oblige them.
