Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Tool inventory?

Retiree here. I was checking the website today and we have no impact sockets or 1/2 torque wrenches available? What in the hell is going on there?

Those were always some of our biggest sellers?
How can they be completely out of stock with Christmas this close? What are u guys selling down there?

Standard torque wrenches are still in 1/2" drive. It's the sockets and bolts that are more often metric (at least on autos).

Old retiree, it's because they don't use 1/2" wrenches anymore, they are metric now.

Yup all this company cares about is collecting people's data, signing people up for credit and protection plans because the first year is covered under the manufacturer it's basically just a straight donation if you buy a protection plan anymore they will not be servicing or replacing after the first year

They're pretending to run a business while they figure out what to do with all the real estate

Welcome to the "new" Sears. It's a joke. Whether it be tools , shoes, clothing, appliances, etc. you go online to order and half the stuff is unavailable. I missed 3 store to homes yesterday because we were out of stock.
