Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

What it's like... day to day

We lose about 1-2 people every week. Morale is... non-existent. Leadership is scarce and only focused on revenue. People still won't acknowledge what is really happening. We've lost about 20% of our staff. Those who are left are getting more work heaped upon them. Our office is back-filling with temps. Our admin staff have nowhere to go... no one has their back... and sales doesn't seem to care. Some management just think things are "business as usual". And some wonder why our admin people don't care... why should they? They're going to be out of job soon. I hope Xerox ROTS.

at least at CBS you say they are learning, at my core one person huddled up in our back conference room for 4 weeks just copying and pasting our already great process docs into a different format, he did not sit to learn, he did not train, he did not ask questions, we let HCL know that he learned nothing while there, talk about a waste of $$$$$
Another guy slept at his desk and was on the internet half the day
This is who will be taking our jobs, nice hiring HCL

CBS is wave 2. Been told our time is up in early January. We now have people from all over trying to learn our jobs.

@10EGruAC-2map This describes our situation as well. We have people leaving every week. Just had three this week. I know of two more that are putting in their notice on Monday. Leadership is clueless and most everyone else is checked out.

We are in a free fall in NY. People leave every week. No one will come to work here - no future. Those of us that are staying for whatever our reasons are working our butts off with no additional compensation and that bonus is a joke! I loved this job - we were a family and people who cared about our customers and each other. I hate coming here each day. Thanks for destroying our jobs Xerox!

It's a mess right now at my core. We can't get temps in fast enough to keep up with the people leaving. We had three resign this week. Get pulled into a meeting this week like we're the problem... we're the reason things are falling apart... it's maddening. What did they think would happen? We'd just all bend over and take it while doing our jobs, waiting for the axe to fall?

Management not being up front but people talk, like hello we all know our jobs are going, we went to school, we know the definition of the word transition
I can confirm wave 1 has changed, it is Chicago office tech in Illinois, Carr business in New york and Image technology in Mass
Word has it they are looking at a go live date with all jobs fully transitioned by mid November for this wave, this ought to be interesting because everything is just a disaster!!!!
