Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Old Macy’s 401k

To all of us who Macy’s laid off over the years, what did you do with your old 401k?
I forgot about mine for a few years, it just sat and plan on rolling over to an existing IRA account. I’ve
been with my current employer for 2 years now, contribute to a new 401k and don’t want to have multiple old 401ks from old employers.

I rolled it into an IRA. I took the cash present value payout of the pension too (former MAY), and put that in the IRA. I separated in my mid 40’s. I have 401k with current employer.

I was laid off in 2018, had about 80k in my 401k

Anyhow, I rolled my 401k into a Fidelity IRA account

Took about 10 min to do paperwork over the phone, they handled everything

Fidelity is cool, never had issues with them
