Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Is the point system really being implemented?

It doesn't seem to be in my club, I'm wondering if that's the case elsewhere?

Let me make it clear, this is not a complaint. I think the new system is horrible. You get the flu and you can end up not having a job by the end of the week - or at least that's in theory.

But in reality, I've seen people accumulate quite a few points here and they are still employed. So just wondering...

Nope, not folliwed in our club. Partners with way more than what is needed to be terminated. One partner had over 20 pts, many close to 10 pts or more. The excuse, we cant let them go, we need the bodys. Lots of favorites too, Team Leads get unimited OT, they get upwards of 60 or more hrs a week. One had 85 hrs in a week, another had 35 hrs by Wednesday. God forbid you punch in early or leave early, you'll get spanked. But work as late as you want, thats ok. Whoever in Bentonville that is coming up with all these brilliant ideas must have the nicest cubicle around. Maybe that individual should pry their lips off the higher up's a– cheeks and go WORK in a building and experience for STUPIDITY up close. Wishful thinking

I have a new optical manager and she has yet to work 30 hours a week. She is now going on a 2 week vacation. She’s been with us a month. How is this possible? She steals time clocks in then leaves for hours. On the clock. I have brought this up to the GM and it’s not a concern. It’s an hourly position so she can’t have ppto much less pto to cover her absence. How can you respect the job when you’re pulling more than your manager! Guess I will start stealing time too since it’s so easy!

Yep not being followed as usual. And if you are a favorite Mgr’s just approve it . So still in same boat as before . Nothing changes

The two biggest I see that it isn't working One being favoritism Two being most are so short staff they are just allowing it to happen

If the manager likes you they will take it off. We have people that come in late and they clock in on the computer and never clock in or out for lunch always on the computer . I would have been wrote up if I did that.
