I have an offer for HW - SPS engineering division. Should I be considering it or stay away?
I do not want to leave one stressed place and enter another one. Kindly advise.

Don't move internally unless your job is already at risk. When the cuts come again, you're the new guy in the group with the least tribal knowledge. They can do without you.
SPS is toxic? sack the lot of them.
investors, clients wouldn't be happy, end contract and sell their shares quickly.
Don’t do it ... will not be less stress in this particular division. There’s a reason why there are so many positions listed. And right now, everyone in the division is on a mandatory furlough.
At least the Printer division in SPS China is a sweatshop. Their engineers typically work for 60+ hours per week. I got their offer and happened to know this then rejected it
Roll the dice
If SPS is doing great they will buy another company. Expect layoffs shortly after that
If SPS is doing poorly, expect layoffs
If SPS needs to raise capital, expect layoffs
If the CEO wants his year end bonus, expect layoffs
If there are no layoffs, expect furloughs
Vacation and sick days work against the mandatory overtime because they count as 8 hours instead of 10. You’ll need to make up the missing 2 hours.
Also will only match your 401k if u stay through whole year. If u leave before that you don’t get company match
Multiple furloughs. Figure every other year and the opposite year no pay raises. That has happened multiple times. Benefits are horrible as well. They just don’t care about there employers
If you are in China, India, Mexico, or Romania I would take the job. It's an easy 35 - 40 hour a week with little accountability. Within 2 years you can be sponsored by HON via H1B visa to move to USA's toxic sites and find another job a much better company with a much better benefit package, reasonable culture, and a future.
The only downside is many other hiring companies who have an experience with HON knows they are a slow pay operation of 120 day payment terms, miserable influence on destroying good employees, and lose share in most of their business and may not want your contagion in their company.
An example at SPS business model who purchases companies, destroys the best parts of the organization, pushes Honeywell Operating System which you figure out is only applicable to 1990's automotive tier companies like turbo chargers. The Intillegrated acquisition was growing at 20% in the US which HON would brag about.....now they are losing share, furloughing employees to claw back the raises they handed out, and staff is working 50 hours a week at a minimum on internally focused metrics.
Unless you're starving, run away as fast as you can. No recognition for going the extra mile, laughable benefits, expectations that you'll work 6 - 8 hours extra for free and poor reviews if you don't, unpaid furloughs, and the constant threat of layoffs.
I'd only recommend if you're into self torture and mental games.
Please ask the recruiter about furloughs this year and let us know how it goes.
Run Fast!
The amount of traffic on this site should give you an idea. I check this site prior to interviewing at other companies.
Honeywell is ultra focused on pleasing Wall Street.
Run!!!
All jobs going to Mexico..Project is big. Reach out to President Trump!
Run! Big layoffs coming in all areas by EOY. Not a place to intelligently grow. Purely focused on cost containment not growth.
RUN Forest RUN!
SPS is toxic. CFO and CEO have caused massive spin and do not invest in the business or people. Furloughs in effect this quarter, zero IT support. Total joke. Stay where you are or look elsewhere.
