New thing being pushed is WorkPlace Suite/Cloud and it's no where near as robust as the competition. It uses the defunct and disaster-ish Mobile Print as half of the platform. it didn't work good on it's own, so throwing in a bit a tracking software and lightweight, c-appy reporting options.. yea. that's winner
Engineering. West Coast? Webster? All new printer have been from Fuji.
Docushare? LOL. Xerox doesn't even use its own product, Docushare. All new internal sites are/have been Microsoft Sharepoint.
it is irrelevant what products we have or develop,if the customer service is substandard and the price is too high it wont sell no matter how good a product is, in todays tech world EVERYONE is doing literally the same thing, but with different bells and whistles on.xrox have rubbish and worsening customer service, greedy margins.Their time has passed, tech wise.
Until it was brought down by layoffs and outsourcing West Coast Engineering was responsible for the development and design of PWBA,ESS and ROS technology support across all Xerox products, most importantly
Xerox’s 3 main bread winners 9700, Docutech and IGen... Other organization sites piggy backed on to what they had been given...
Not DocuShre. Not the HP partnership which is designed to enable exit of Webster toner facilities and related job costs. Not the Digital Citizen and the other areas where market offerings already exist with successful channels. Certainly not Vader where no investment has been made. Possibly printed packaging and electronics if they are viable and a new sales team is hired who can sell more than MFD and services. No, the likelihood of making money in the future is dim.
"West Coast engineering was the backbone of development"
Not true, but believe what you want. The vast majority of engineering is in Webster.
Very little in the pipe line...Management won’t admit but West Coast engineering was the backbone of development. When that was decimated by layoffs tech expertise went in the dumpster ..The refrain we have
RIT to support us was laughable at best .
With Dion out don’t depend on HP.
How can anything bring money when they'll be no customers once the outsourcing is complete, and also sales will get so frustrated that they will also leave, there will be no more of everybody fixing their work for them, bye bye spoiled ones!!!!
Yes. Are you unaware of the partnership with HP? Those will, and a lot of development is active now. I don't see docushare doing much though.
More like C-apushare
docushare......Docushare........DOCUSHARE !!!!!!
What products exactly are being developed ??
Short answer is no.
Squeezing a customer for a sale only makes the commission. Developing long-term customer relations brings a stable annuity stream. Currently, Zerox is not interested in investing in developing customer relationships.
