Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Closing pharmacies???

So my market manager's biggest concern seems to be that our storage cages that are filled with pr-scrip-ion records and invoices is properly organized an labeled. Seems a bit weird to be making this a key focus as we prepare for the all-important flu and pneumococcal immunization push. For those of you who work in other areas, this is kind of like the pharmacy department's Christmas sales season. After all the layoffs in the pharmacy departments on the Wal-Mart side, I can't help but be a bit suspicious as to why they would suddenly be so worried about the organization of our storage cages.

Makes me wonder if they aren't getting ready to close a few pharmacies and want the records ready to move at a moment's notice.

It's just a compliance thing. A club probably got into trouble for something so they are just doing this to cover all bases

I so hope our pharmacy doesn't close … I use them regularly they are fast friendly and easy to deal with …. Its probably the smoothest running dept. in our club

There is a big push on Amp this month to have paperwork/records sent to Iron Mountain. It may have something to do with that, as they are required to be properly labeled.

Addresses updated. That's a good clue.

A couple months before they closed our store they had PTC hitting up everyone to make sure our addresses were updated. The day we got the news that we were closing we all had FedEx packages when we got home telling us what our severance package was.
