Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

My source social

Someone posted a blog today about how awful the forced ranking system is… Some really good comments just blasting this “policy”. Hopefully it will gain a lot of traction and even if it doesn’t change anything, maybe it will make executive management team uncomfortable

not everyone will have the courage to write a comment to the blog entry, but if you want to create some change then at least search for the blog entry and put your like to it.

The blog is back up, but no longer “ trending”. It was definitely completely removed for a period of time because it was even removed from my history

One thing we can do is post the truth on Glassdoor, so others can be warned. They've been posting 'fake reviews' there.

So much for the “candid” communication they supposedly endorse. The posts were a little too candid, and so they had them stopped.

Hypocrites!

I hope someone has the courage to create another entry. There is not much to lose.
Nobody can get fired by this and if you already have a BE, nothing is changing for you as you will be targeted anyway on the next waves.
Only with an entry all the others can show support, otherwise you will remain as a silent victim.

They want people to get so annoyed that they walk away as opposed to having to pay them redunancy. So all employees need to sit tight and work as little as possible. Force their hand.... do less and at each meeting say you want a pay rise. Absolute dump of a place to work.

INCREDIBLE! Even for this dump. Charlie & his team working overtime on censorship. Wonder what propaganda they’ll float out there now. More info on the bees on 1mellon?

Well, it didn’t last too long. Looks like THEY removed the thread and all its comments. Seems like people have been pushed to the point where they don’t care if their opinions aren’t anonymous.

Turns out the original post was from 2017, but the comments picked up steam again, which caused it to be the top trending post.

Here's an idea Chuck might consider: If the headcount is indeed overwhelming, simply say, "We're reducing the workforce due to cost-cutting measures." Then set up the SUB packages and let people go.

This DISGUSTING charade of BE and endless jagged nerves is well beyond decent.

There is no stopping the forced rankings, because it's a proven, effective way to set the stage for head count reductions. Most managers (especially at the lower levels) have to be forced to sell their soul to the devil. The forced rankings accomplish just that.
