Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Simple severance question

What is the Honeywell standard severance package in the US? I know that that the package may vary from state to state, but is there some package that is offered most often?

4 weeks minimum, regardless. Any previous severance is deducted so if a former employee returns you can't double dip. Medical will last to the last day of the month your severance ends. You are eligible to take unemployment right away. Can't get unemployment if you quit.

standard package is to avoid and delay any and all payments if at all possible to include unemployment. They will only give a package if law or threat of legal action requires.

For anyone interested in what it really is:

Minimum 2 weeks of severance for short time employees. One week per year for long term employees, with a maximum 26 weeks paid regardless of any number of years worked in excess of 26 years.

One week per year of service with partial years counted as partial weeks.
