To 2oea, domesticated CRUs and consumables should go away for HP models, based on the agreement with Xerox, yes? That should help quality. I wonder if HP will leave their Samsung division alone to provide product or if HP will influence design specs.

I didn't think FX machines were that bad. The problem with service was the domesticated consumables, especially CRU's for A3 & A4. Total c-apola compared to the original FX part. This is because the same documentation information lack faced by the CSE community hamstrings the CRU domestication. At best, CRU domestication is a c-ap shoot and it is well known history, and worse today, that their management knowingly launches bad product to the field. I heard they closed their QA department, which would explain alot.

A4 FX products are junk and take hours and a workbench to repair. Our older products are way more reliable and easier to repair. The registration assembly on every FX/versalink A4 jumps around and gives random jams because it has no steel going through it to keep it still.

A3 FX/CK products are junk. Take forever to boot, buggy component controls, missing component commands, etc. Constant reboots to get component control to work. BSDs lack a lot of information. Missing nvm description list on all their products.

Had to replace a BCR wiring assembly on a 7970 today. No documentation in edoc for that part. 5h job. No documentation on any A3 FX color for that one.

FX machines run very dirty. CRUs never make life. SBCs fail like crazy on the Altalinks. SD cards become corrupted easily.

FX parts are also ridiculously expensive considering what you get.

Fuji line is c-apola.

Customers generally looking elsewhere unless they have a niche need, ie IGen.

Some design flaws coming to roost on newer products. Designs by HCL ? Not sure.

Due to layoffs understaffed and over worked.Replacement part support is slow.
Hardware and software updates are chaotic as documentation is poor.Fuji equipment is Junk. Customers are angry ..Other than that just another sweet day on the job.
