Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Don't be too quick to quit Macy's

I know things have been far from perfect lately, but that's the situation in the entire retail sector. Several of my former co-workers quit and are now regretting that decision. It was easy to find a new job, but it was impossible to find a new job that offered anything more than Macy's. Same lack of job security everywhere, same issues of being understaffed and overworked...

What they did acheive is losing their seniority and are now starting all over again, with nothing to show for it.

What I'm saying is, if you are not planning to leave retail altogether, you might as well stay where you are.

You don't have to quit Macy's, they will lay you off soon enough!

Glad I am out. Management is living in a fantasy world thinking My Client is the answer. Things are not what they used to be. No appreciation unless you are opening accounts, they do not care if you lie to get them, there is no integrity.

Bull5h1t. Macys is the worst...of the worst out there. What does your "seniority" get you at Macys other than a few more paid weeks when they lay you off after Christmas? There are many better pay and quality of life options out there other than this sinking ship.
