Since corporate supposedly isn’t publishing the store closure list for a few weeks, everyone whose store is closing should post their location in the comments on this post so we can get an idea of the affected stores

Somerset KY Kmart closing
Sears store at Avenues Mall....#1066
Last year, Corpus Christi was one of the top 100 profitable stores in the US. An unfortunate plumbing problem resulted in the release of 750,000 gallons of water in the store. Flooded the entire Appliance are upstairs as well as elevators and escalators. Were out of operation for two months. Customers had no access to the most profitable area in the store. Doesn't seem like a store problem, but profits are profits with no concern for future earnings. So sad. worked there on and off for 20 years, but I saw the writing on the wall. No true retail management structure resulted in the failure of Sears.

It's terrible our local store is closing! It seems everyone these days shops on Amazon. Do these people not know that over 40% of the sellers on Amazon live in China? There are many antitrust allegations against Amazon too, including product review steering/manipulation that mostly benefits offshore sellers and of course Amazon. This unchecked corruption is impacting our local retail market. Why does the DOJ/FTC not take immediate action?
Eliminate the pain and embarassment of retired, extremely proud, Sears Roebuck & Co. associates and close them all!

It was just posted an hour ago.
It seems to be missing the Eastgate Mall Cincinnati, Ohio location which I frequent. Talked to an employee there yesterday and they said they were closing (unless they either changed their minds or someone got their wires crossed). A shame. I’d hate to see it go.

I spoke to the man himself Larry Costello who said there will not be a press release only local media inquiries. Good news is I think we have the list here. I’m sure some nationals like Business Insider will piece it together over time didn’t they do a large round in 2017 with no release.

Sad to say a lot of these store's are profitable. If list is true I would say the whole company is going. Sad but maybe it's time to finally put it to bed.
