Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

What cores are in most danger of layoffs happening?

Is there any logic to where layoffs might strike next? What parts of the company have to fear more, although I know none of us can say that they’re safe?

Hey, I'm surprised AJ is still there. GSS will be 100% outsourced soon. Can't believe the gender discrimination, and non qualified mgt that is (or was) there.

I see alot of 'if layoffs' type statements here, they should be 'when layoffs' statements because the path being followed my the leadership team (HAHAHA) has only one focus.

I don't think it's core specific. It'll be department specific if layoffs or more rebadging happens. Our core has people leaving every week, so I'm not sure what's going to be left of us by next year. Don't care either way...

Heard a while ago that consolidations and cuts are planned for non rebadged Xerox accounting personnel. Big salaries and redundant job functions make them a huge target given the inability of the dumb–ses to grow revenue.

From what I heard through the rumor mill is the layoffs will be based on function, not Core. For example, if the Accounts Receivable function is ready to be handled by Guatemala, those folks handling this function at the Cores will be let go.

If you take an interest in financials in the industry your in you'll have a clearer picture of 1) what the company is anticipating and 2) What it's business sector is expecting. There are too many resources to name here but since employment affects us all it would be worth learning about your business. Most of this is free and several web sites can help you understand.

In XDX, GSS has a bullseye target due to AJ purportation that mass exits have not occurred.

The bigger the core the more danger of layoffs because if you were a core that was overstaffed be afraid, my core is small and ran lean and we couldn't keep up with work even before the whole HCL thing, who knows but I see all customer care reps getting let go at some point and eventually parts and supply shippers as that will all get centralized
