Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Is it possible that they could widen the list of closing locations?

I understand that it’s still not 100% confirmed what locations are closing (I mean the final one), but is there an option and what is the probability that they decide to close additional locations in this wave? When will we know the final count of closed locations in this round?

The most consistent tell is the DFM showing up (with or without a contractor in tow) and looking at doors/windows and electrical systems.

At 260 stores you can't even be a decent regional big box chain. The end is in sight, if you're not looking for another job RIGHT NOW, you're out of your mind.

they are all closing before long. what are you missing. vendors quit selling to us. retail stores with nothing to sell is a sign of disaster.

They will likely all be gone by the end of the year, at least Kmart anyhow. With the latest wave, there i absolutely no way the few remaining stores will be able to make it.

They’re all going to close, look around, read what Eddie has been saying. He’s going to close all the big stores (Sears and Kmart) and try to operate some type of business out of what he has left (Hometown stores). The rest will be gone. And since he doesn’t know how to run a retail operation whatever he turns Hometown into will fail too.
