Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

An honest opinion

Seriously folks, If you want a company to prosper there's been enough research done that the employees should be happy, not overworked, should not be competing against each other or put in a ring match and should be cared and feel a part of the family. It's all about culture. And recently the culture at VZ wireless has gone to the dogs. I wish it was how it was before but that's not the case. I started lurking around this place about 5-6 months back and have noticed the sudden surge in people's disappointment. I mean I can understand people come here to check gossip and the word around the streets, but recently it's been more than that. I feel like time has come to dust the old books and start preparing for outside opportunities.

Concerns of employee welfare was the previous generation. And VZ's chairman and ceo being of foreign dissent will not help moving forward. There is an ample supply of potential workers. The influx of migrants have changed the dynamics for the US worker.

There are only 3 telecommunication companies in the United States. Why should Verizon leadership care about employees? Employee happiness is not necessary to improve profits.

Wal-Mart generates billions in profits, but treats their employees worse than slaves. Large corporations have found creative methods to transform Americans into wage slaves.
