Some people keep asking questions such as:
"Is there life after UP?"
"What's is like on the outside?"
etc....
Yes, there is life after/outside of UP. It's called everything that isn't UP.
UP employees (agreement and non-agreement) come across like people with Stockholm Syndrome when they put up questions like this.
When an employer has a strong enough grip on your mind to where you're wondering if there is anything outside of their company it's time to find a new job.
Yes....!!!! it is Definitely Life After U.P....I left after 15yrs, and went into the Plant's where i'm working 7 days on...7 days off...and still Switching Cars...(lol)...sometimes it's not about the Money...even though i'm making good money....Quality Of Life goes a long way.
There is no life after UP for some people. Don't say there is. What about those that have suffered discrimination. To such a degree that their life is forever changed? After being 'pulled from service ' because of stress, they just sit at home staring at 4-walls. Unable to be an asset to anyone else. I can relate because this is me. My career and life is over after UP.
I have a lot question. Is there life after me working 30 12 hour days in a row? Can anybody possibly compare to this awesome quality of life I have?
OP well said. A lot of people that I have know over the many years I have worked for this company are terrified when fired, laid off, or put on the not fit for duty list. Most are glad they will never have to come back and work for this company after a little time away. I think people realize that there is more to life than constantly being scared and afraid for your job.
Thank you. 330 million people in America and maybe 50;000 work or worked for UP. More people are working now than ever. There is life. Break away, stand up, go out and find your next job. It’s all on you. That is what liberty and freedom are all about.
