Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Darius, Mahoney and SBG's leaders- FASTER

This FASTER mantra is bazaar. Darius is obviously pushing TM harder to get products to market faster. I get it; more products = more revenue/profit for HON ticker. What's bazaar? In Aerospace, TM knows the complexities of getting anything on an aircraft simply due to FAA regulations and the daunting conformity processes; it takes incredible time to complete. When you couple conformity with Procurement and their elimination of multiple suppliers 5+ years ago, slow got slower. I can't see how HON gets out of this mess with projects 248/193. ALT keeps comparing HON speed to smaller companies and their threat of taking market share; I don't buy it. So, if the Aero Engineering RIM/span of control is part of the solution (speed to market), it's way off. Since TM knows speed isn't possible, DA likely told him to increase profits some how; hence, RIM's and ISC payoffs.

Have to laugh at "faster." Getting a PO placed took 3-5 days a decade ago, now it's closer to 4 weeks. I'm sure the offshore support has "helped" immensely with that.

The latest is Agile and scrumming. Except there are no dedicated teams, no dedicated resources, no collaborative efforts, and critical thinking is strictly prohibited. Long live the culture of groupthink.

What's bazaar you ask. Well, it's a covered marketplace where goods and services are exchanged and sold.

Don't these Yo-Yo's realize it can never be "Fast & Right"?
It's a trade-off, you can have right if you take the time, or you can have it fast, and then it's messed up, just because you have to meet arbitrary milestones. You can't have it both ways.
Plus they won't fund anything enough to be able to do it right.
Then they don't want you to charge Overhead the rest of the year, even though none of the Programs provided enough funding to allow to charge direct, which should have been figured out for each staff member by 12/31/18.
And after that, you're supposed to pimp for work instead of the Mgr taking responsibility to provide it. It's a Catch-22.

Everything's faster now. For instance, certain C.E., former subordinate of T.M., left without saying goodbye, without the usual "organization announcement" spam, and left for Lear, his transition being only announced through Lear's public statement.

not forget that T.M. was pushing for 20% free OT . But lower management pushed back to agree to 15%. In the mean time T.M. continues with his stock and cash bonuses to 8mil while his base sal is 800k. And corp does 1.9 B in stock buy-backs last quarter.
