Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Can anyone say that they're happy working for HON at this moment?

I certainly can’t, but given that this is a big company with multiple businesses, I was wondering if there is still some part of the company there people still enjoy working for Honeywell?

Ditto. I laugh every time my boss tells me what a good job I am doing improving myself with trainings and formal certifications. All transferable.

I can't. But I find the internet speed adequate enough to submit several job applications a day.

I am happy....good pay, decent hours....and I do my job, so the boss doesn’t bother me...management follies don’t matter to me, not my monkeys, not my circus....

I find myself laughing out loud at all of the whining about bonuses being cut, but then I realized there's a bunch of managers/ex-managers on here. No offense, but y'all should take a serious look at the hourly folks' points of view. It's getting bad, kids. Management is monitoring restroom breaks. New Year's Eve is not a holiday this year, as well as Christmas Eve. Not to worry night shift comrades, y'all can come in at 8:00am. Well, ya know, at least the office folks will get bagels and Christmas cookies.

I was let go from Honeywell last September, and I am happy to say it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was recruited by a company that values employees and doesn't treat us as numbers (SERIOUSLY... our employee ID numbers are not even addressed, we are addressed by our ACTUAL NAMES!}. Here's what folks, Honeywell does not value you as people. HON is too large of a corporation to consider your little lives as anything valuable to them. Get out now!! Get out before it crumbles by the huge mistakes leadership has made that do not align with the national/international policies rolling out.

In SPS, and am a definite NO to being happy working for HON. Am I grateful to have a job and a decent paycheck? Yes. But am I fulfilled with the work that I do; do I have any semblance of work/life balance; OR do I know that working my butt off has a positive impact on my career growth? No, no, and no! As others have stated already, HON sees me as dispensable, just like all its other employees when furloughs and budget cuts aren’t enough to “make the numbers” DEA promised to Wall Street. Plus, when one accounts for inflation, furloughs, artificially downgraded performance ratings to lower MIP (annual bonus) and annual raises, one ends up making less but working more each additional year spent at HON. I’m actively looking as I’m sure the other 80% of unhappy folks are. To those job candidates reading this: HON is a 1 star company - stay away!

Much happier now after leaving ISC a few years ago. What a difference it's made. Went from being over stressed and p-ss-d off all the time to relaxed and laid back. Feels like I'm on vacation even though I'm still working.

Aero ISC, not happy. Managers just look at charts, push and do not help. Every group is understaffed and still managers told to do more with less. Zero training, except for a select few youngsters, new people have deer in headlights look. Everyone I know is behind, even dealing with customers, all late. It is the ALT, TM office that pushes down the rediculous demands like reducing suppliers and pushing out payments. Managers just have to say yes. They will not admit that experience counts, goes against the leadership idea that the tasks are simple and anyone can do anything.

Happy to actually work on products and systems with some very talented staff; in Aero. As a manager, I use all the tools to keep employees satisfied; flexible work hours, many recognition awards with dollars, flexible work weeks and avoiding micro-managing. Unhappy with employee performance rules, such as forced 9-block distribution and forced PIP's. Also unhappy with poor procurement decisions that have resulted in late deliveries, such as reducing the number Suppliers 5+ years ago.

Oh yes, I am, working in an non-US site, being paid high above country average, enjoying warm corporate comfort, doing work transferred from US, from US employees getting fired and coming here whining and ranting.

I work for Aerospace and no I’m miserable. I’m currently working on an escape plan. I would be relieved to get laid off with severance at this point
