PRP announcement 1st week in Oct. GSR layoffs in first quarter 2020....best guess is mid Feb. Papa Knows It All is going to clear the pensioners and near pensioners come hell or high water.

They are trimming those that have a pension coming. That is their primary goal.
I don’t know if there are people without work to do. I have seen that in the past but not with my current team. The people that I know of who were let go in the last round had heavy workloads that they were productively supporting. If they were trying to “trim the fat” then they missed.
Rumors and speculation, but layoff will be good for Ford. Ford has too much fat that needs to be trimmed off. Ford has too many employees with no work to do. They are all pretending that they have a lot of work, but most of the time they are surfing the internet and not even showing up to work. This is why more layoffs is a good thing.
Your delusional to think that another PRP type program will not occur in the next 12 months. Company isn’t even close to the right size numbers it needs to achieve. If you have a growing pension you will be targeted......
Why do you keep posting about PRP program? There is nothing to indicate that will happen in 2019. HR said not happening. What is your source?
RWG acronym is what? I am not familiar with that. We did have update our LDEP'S a few weeks ago.
RWG discussions take part at the managers level for year end performance reviews and compensation. The PDCs are not involved in this process.
In IT, and I assumed everywhere else, PDC was stopped and they are no longer meeting. Wouldn't this also affect RWG discussions (as in they won't be happening)?
Allot of employees where red circled in the SRD - my guess is there even more at risk.
Be forewarned - unlike years past, there will be denoted “Low Achievers @ 10%” in the RWG discussions. This will setup the next wave.....
Probably just some engineering layoffs since engineering is cyclical.
GSR layoffs...……….. hah! that means more LL6'S and above. The way they cooked the books in my organization to save management jobs during SRD it will only lead to more management layoffs.
I hope not. The frequent worry about losing one’s job is such a distraction from being productive. On a brighter note, my job was eliminated in May and it was not the end of the world. I’ll admit that it was a stressful few weeks but now that I’m on the other side of it I’m actually very happy. Worrying about it for months was actually worse than having it happen.
First the rumor was early in September...now this rumor monger says October. Which is it? Guess the only thing to do is not worry about it until it actually happens. As far as more GSR layoffs - really? How would any work get done?? Everyone knows GSR's do the bulk of the work.
Yeah, it may come, but I also know from looking for a new internal job there are many, many open reqs that are going unfilled, even by agency. In fact, I applied for an internal job vacancies posted on Jobs Online two weeks ago, and was sent an email two days later saying that due to budget cuts the job is going unfilled......and that was the 2nd time that happens to me within a 3 week time period. many departments already know or have very good idea on their 2020 budget numbers, and are acting accordingly. So, doubt there will be a lot of GSR layoffs in 2020...unless Ford suddenly decided to stop doing a lot of stuff they have never shown a willingness to stop doing before.
