Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Women's shoes

I thought about applying in the Women's shoe department, but I heard that they cut the commisson rate in that department. Does anyone know if this is true?

Now that Macy's lower the commission rate in shoes this June, cosmetics and frangrances Dept. will be next but until next June 2020.

Don't go to shoes...it is the craziest area in the store.

Yeah it did cut the commission rate at shoes. For new employees in shoes the commission rate is 1.5 percent and $9 dallors per hour. But to much workload doing MyCleint, opening up credit application, presale, setting up sale and the shoe audit. The shoe audit is like doing inventory every morning.

They did...our hourly went up though. I have made more money over the slow periods than I did in the past. Dont know if it will be better in the winter season. Go to suits or furniture...better pay there.
