Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Is there anything that can be done?

It is obvious that Eddie never had any intention to save Sears or all the jobs he touted he was going to safe to the Judge. He lied. It is obvious to a three-year-old child he lied.

So is there really nothing that can be done about it? By anybody? Most notably, that same Judge who bought his story?

If Eddie intentionally misled the judge by telling the court he wanted to save jobs he could be charged with perjury. The sticky part is to prove Eddie lied to the court.

Eddie will go down in U.S. retail history as the man who destroyed Sears and Kmart.

I was hoping that after the bankruptcy some things would get better, but it got even more stale and worse. It doesn't seem like any effort is being made to save the retail business. Are they just hoping that if they let the stores decay that eventually a hoarse of customers is going to come storming in hoping to pay more for stale merchandise?

The best thing we can hope for is that the Wesfarmers and Lowes sales go through this could salvage at least some of what's left.
