Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

60 day notices going out soon!!!

Word on the street is that many badged over HCL employees who are in wave zero and wave 1 of the cores will get 60 day notices late September as the clueless ones at Xerox overseeing the transitions (because once again HCL passing the buck so xerox had to step in) have given Guatemala 5 weeks starting this next week to move all the work over, it's so insane that it's funny, they have no access to any of the core systems, they have no clue on who does what, Quarter end is going to be a disaster!!!! The xerox guys in charge have no clue what they are doing or how much has to happen and be in place to make this happen, they think it's as easy as flipping a switch, my core has a bet going on which guatemalan group is going to F up the worst, what's your guess?

Some legacy Xerox did receive 60-day notices. Will be done by end of November.

Management was told by HCL reps today that they dont expect anyone to receive 60 day notices until Q1 (next year). But basically confirms now (for anyone who is still brain dead) they will be getting rid of your job.

Comdoc here. Was just made aware Xerox and HCL reps are here today and wanting all rebadged to meet for a luncheon today. Doesnt sound good in my opinion.

I don't know. Guatemala had a lot of f*ckups when they first took over billing and equipment moves etc but all in all, they'll struggle a little when taking over something new but by the time I left they were doing okay. There were still billing issues because they took over things that sales promised that really were outside the scope but they are already doing a lot of functions there. Our jobs are going there already. Factories that haven't gone to China are now in Mexico. The US better watch out because that Wall is going to keep us in just like the Berlin Wall and our jobs will be on the other side of that wall and we will be the ones crossing over trying to get healthcare and enough to feed our families if we're not in the top 10%. It took me a few months to find something after I left Xerox. Better save up. The health exchange is still expensive and might not be there in 2021 depending on whether you vote to protect the border when our jobs are already being offshored or you vote to protect the social safety net from the greedy hands of the 1% lying to us about imaginary boogeymen when their unrelenting greed at the expense of everyone else is the real crisis. Why is Corporate welfare okay but not accessible healthcare like every other country? Besides Xerox's health plan is like having no healthcare if you actually get sick. By the time you pay your premium and deductible you can't afford to actually go to the doctor.
