Another company upper management disconnect. But a perfect example as to why Sears failed.

What a throwback (I don't work at Sears for a year). I almost forgot about the dozens of metrics, LOL, but MET is "Member Engagement Today", where you would input how many people you spoke with versus how many sales you closed on the PMP (Performance Management Platform) app on your store-issued iPad or a PC. Supposedly, it was supposed to track close rates but it backfired as almost everyone fibbed. Horrible salespeople (i.e., glorified cashiers whose selling strategy was reading off whatever was printed on the feature/benefit signs or listed on Sears.com.on the iPad back to the customer) would have at or near 100% close rates even though their sales per hour said otherwise.

Wow it’s been so long I forgot what those metrics were. I remember know your member. That one really wasn’t that hard to BS so I didn’t mind that one. Was the MET part of the recap system?

LOL.... those metrics were a absolutely ridiculous when clearly from my perspective in appliances/mattresses (the whole store I was at also) was literally falling apart !!! No advertising whatsoever, dated everything.... from management style all the down. Boy were they stupid to say the least.....
