Back room associates.... how is claims in your club going ? Ours is a mess... trying to get stuff done, but all the receiving stuff is always taking priority over everything else and claims is falling way behind ! Our original claims clerk no longer works for the company and no one knows what they are doing ! The market manager is sick of the mess, but we just don’t have time for claims too!

Our backroom seems to work fairly well for the most part. Its basically broken down mutually between us. The original claims person and original receiver still run their areas as much as possible. The 3rd unloads, consolidates freight, delivers, and pulls and processes RTVs as well as receiving products in between. If a ton of product is coming in all 3 tackle it as quickly as possible and clear dock. Weekend person mainly cleaning up liquidation and RTV so claims has time for the rest. From 4-7 am we don't usually get off a forklift we are putting up everything possible in steel. Nightside backroom is mainly unloading and racking in steel. We still have a mess to walk into at times, our dock is sometimes a disaster, some reason all our trucks come on the same days and we no longer can control it so bad days/good days. Do what you can and organize. Also stay ahead of the game! Help the floor people. Pick up their pallets, consolidate or help them wrap and tag freight so you can get it out of your way and stacked up or in steel. The system honestly ONLY works best if all help each other out. And it's still messy.

Claims has to get cleaned up quickly due to zero time allotted after unloading all the trucks through out the day. This means instead of orange stickers, just damage it all out and pitch it. On line returns? Who has time for all of that? It's a mess and now we are losing our claims lock up area so anyone can walk by and take Return Center items or online returns or whatever they want. Don't worry Claims is going by the wayside anyway. Soon backroom associates will just be unloading and stocking.

Who is pulling your rtv's and liquidation? We hardly have time to process in club damages.

Have worked claims for years and what HO doesn't realize that got can't have 3 or 4 different people doing this area cause who had time to come into the next day and figure out what's done or needs done.. there's more to it than damages and returns

Sounds all too familiar. We manage to stay on top of it by pure luck knowing that at any time, someone could call off a couple days in a row or go on vacation with no coverage arranged and the whole thing could turn into a sh–show in a heartbeat. Virtually every other club in ours and the neighboring market has had that happen multiple times and the only fix that truly exists is to go back to having people specifically dedicated to that area again.
