FRONT END LEADS!!

What are the responsibilities for the front end leads?? With them making $18 an hour I hope it’s not just being cashiers, dictators or directing members to the available registers open. 🤔

They have a lot of Responsablity. I don't know about other stores but I can speak for ours. The people at membership desk are there to help them all the time. We have a lot to do to and are responible for a lot of things. If u can't multi task at least 3 or 4 things at once u can't be a cos or a membership desk associate. I am glad they got a raise they deserve it. But we do to. We may not need to get exactly how much they get but we definately deserve at least 15. We handle a lot of things and we also help as much as possible in a lot of different areas. However not just anyone can come to desk to help us. And a lot of time there is one associate there and we have to answer phone, make a membership, do a return, listen to complaints and solve them, and then there the click and pull that has been added to us. So I am happy they got a raise but be fair and give to us one to. Every job in that store has responsablities people that don't work at them and have no idea. So I wish people would stop pretending they know everyone else responablites and stop saying they don't deserve a raise because everyone deserves a raise.

Eliminate all cos jobs and have frontend assistants run the frontend.

Definitely depends. I've been in clubs where the MSLs/COSs are worth $18 and also in clubs where I'm not sure they're worth $11. All falls on club leadership and the standards they enforce. Expect a little, you're gonna get a little. Having been a COS a few years back and also a floor lead previously, not sure I agree with floor leads making the same, imo should be a little more. That's just my humble opinion.

Yesssssss!!! Completely agree with the poster below!!! In my club, the COS’ are more than deserving of $18. They are pulled in 80 directions...constantly multitasking. I did that job for a while before I went to fresh (too much drama) and it definitely takes a good working associate to be successful.

If you spent half the time complaining as you did being a dedicated associate and improving your skill set... maybe you too can make $18 some day!

I think everyone on here WHINING about front end leads making $18 should try the job for a bit and see what kind of song they are singing then!

Especially an accounting associate.... who in our club would sit in the office and milk 2 hours worth of work into a full day.

If you’re so bitter... apply for a MSL position and get paid $18 and sit down. Just my honest opinion.

Um, I'm not an MSS and I know what they have to deal with (as a team lead and having filled in for them for more than my fair share of MSS shifts): whining cashiers who want their breaks after 1 hour and then disappear into the bathroom for 20 minutes at a time. Then they're covering T-b-cco AND Club Pickup and most of them haven't even had the opportunity to be properly trained in T-b-cco or Club Pickup but they're expected to read T-b-cco Member's chicken-scratch handwriting and not get anything wrong while trying to find the requisite CPU paperwork that the CPU associate didn't bother to provide. All this while being called to do simultaneous key-turns at Membership and front-end (front end overrides due to POS signage discrepancies) AND sometimes being by themselves for 6 hours at a time...are you serious??? Get outta here. You must be a night-shift, recent edition to day hours and you have no idea what it takes to actually kept the club running without a riot breaking out.
If my post looks like a confused mess just imagine having to walk through that confused mess for 8 hours. I repeat: get outta here OP. I'd be more inclined to agree if you were questioning Merchandising Leads but Front End??? No.

I realize the expectations are high and I pity the front end leads. But you signed off on what your duties would be much like myself and yes, you are making $18/hour. What was it before that? $13? The huge increase in pay has to have some expectations. I was an accounting associate who is still doing the job 98% of the time so I make a lot, lot, lot less than you. I didn't ask to lose my job but you knew what you were getting into when you accepted the position which includes the accounting duties.

The main problem I see is only having one lead and they have the walkie and cage keys. Associates have overrides and many other needs too. I realize the leads are stretched to the max - it only makes sense to have one lead STAY up by cashiers and let the other one handle all the membership needs and the other issues. They could alternate the duties. My opinion is that someone at member services should have override privileges.

Let's see

Managing lines, handling constant stress, dealing with employee issues, and member issues... a constant pressure for metrics to improve despite being short staffed, calling for help only to have other leads blow you off. Training, handling orientation and Hr duties, keeping an eye on the lot, the desk, jewelry, t-b-cco cage. Managing the schedule, and Oh yeah managing the money in the accounting office, oh and add being by yourself 75 percent of the time.

Worth the 18 dollars I get an hour.
