Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

No Touch means No Touch: There is zero tolerance for adjusting D82 or D95 orders under any circumstances! Simply, there are no circumstances were we want you to adjust the order.
Faced, but not Full: Walmart’s practice of just-in-time delivery thru CAO supplies enough inventory to cover it’s OSA requirement, but not enough to necessarily pack out the shelves and displays like we’re used seeing as a DSD organization. In some cases (not all), you will need to get used to shelves/displays not being as packed out as if you had adjusted the order.
Trust, Patience & Open-mindedness: The adjustments that you were previously making to the order to maintain safety and demand stock levels are different than that of Walmart CAO system. I know it feels counterintuitive to the issues that some of you are experiencing today, but we need you trust the process and the system.

Attached Please Find Frequently Asked Question & Answers

My store is NOT receiving a CAO order?

Most likely this store is currently sitting at 33 day-of-supply (DOS) and receives a delivery Wednesday and Friday. CAO can’t meet the 40 cases minimum because most items already have enough product to maintain safety stock and demand until the following delivery on Wednesday

How does CAO generate an order?

CAO will only order to maintain safety stock (3.5 DOS or 20% shelf capacity) and meet the demand forecast between deliveries (based on 7 years sales history and recent sales trends)
CAO is only going to generate an order if it can get to 40 cases

Action: Do not write an order. Focus on correcting On Hand Inventory to ensure order accuracy.

Here’s a real life example of a store not receiving a CAO, yet sitting on 33 days of supply:

Can I still write orders for D82 items not on the MOD? No! For the integrity of the process, you will not be allowed to adjust orders for D82. You will not be able to order product for Pick Pack and Snack, Go Cups, Barnum Racks, etc.

What if my store has never received a CAO Order? Please submit the store number and issue here

What about New Stores, should I order for them? Yes. New stores will not generate CAO order. The SR will need to manually write orders for these stores until they begin to see CAO orders in the tablet.

Can we still ship PRDs? No. PRDs will not be ordered by CAO and should not be orders by SR’s.

Do I need to order product for the Category Fixture? Displays settings are in place to maintain 3 sides of the Category Fixture based on the July POP. Display setting and the shelf settings will not keep the displays FULL but should send enough product to maintain both locations. The 4th Side of the Category Fixture will not be maintained by CAO.

What do we do when a store does not meet MOQ? CAO will not generate an order less than 40 cases. The branch threshold for Walmart deliveries is 40 cases. All branches should deliver all Walmart orders regardless of the MOQ. If CAO generates an case order that only has 30 cases, it will pull 10 cases from a subsequent order to bring the order to 40 cases. If for some reason CAO cannot get the order to 40 cases, it will skip the order.

How do we handle credits? Nothing has changed for the credit process. Credits should be written as usual.

How do we handle inventory? What is recommended process? SR’s should use the existing CAO order and call customer care to adjust the order date as agreed to with the store. The SR can also call customer care to cancel the order and let CAO adjust on its own order.

Will Customer Care allow us to cancel an order for a Store Inventory? Yes.

Do we need dummy orders to attach NOS orders in system? No. NOS’ need an order to attach to. If CAO has not sent an order, the NOS will have to attach to the next available order in the system before it expires.

Can I adjust an order DOWN if it is too much product? Walmart has asked that we not touch the order. If there is too much shipping at once, please have the store open a Remedy Ticket to resolve.

Is it okay to communicate the “No Touch” to Walmart store personnel? Yes. This is a Walmart initiative and can be discussed with store personnel as appropriate.

Can I still order Cardboard/POS? Yes, the SR will need to create a separate order with just the POS needed

there will not be anymore projections sales bonuses etc. the minimum case order is what nestle started @ 6 months before exiting. if i could not min case quantity i was told not to go to stores. and if u ordered 1 case below you were on a list. now we have to be 100% on case ordering to get our retention bonuses. sounds like your moving to warehouse its the new trend.

Glad I retired last August. Not the same company that I was hired in 2000. Only worried about labor. So sad.

Ha oh well. Let the “system” do it’s job. If the store asks me about why shelves and displays are going empty, or if my boss comes to me about why fixtures are getting pulled and I’m not hitting projections.. I’m just letting the system do it’s thing. Can’t point the finger at the rep. All I can do is do your on hands. Thanks see ya later. 3hrs in a WM will now be an hr and a half.
