Addittional layoffs in Washington state including..Alderwood Mall Macys lynnwood,WA. 3wks notice no severance job end date of Feb.8th

At the end of October every year Biglots like to send “corporate people” out to stores and sit them down and tell them they are closing that store then go to the next store on there list. They don’t care about employees or management in any way. I’ve been part of a closing store it’s a bs way of doing things. But I guess not as bad as hearing they just called and let so many go in the past few months I guess just shameful over the phone really grow some.
Store closures aren't announced the way they used to be. Now it's mostly one offs, or sporadic, but not major announcements will come, until your store is about 3 months from closing.
Not store closings, but continued downsizing and streamlining in both the field and central organizations said to be coming early in the fall season post Q2 or in conjunction with Q2 earnings announcements.
