Any layoffs coming in OCI or is it safe to join OCI now?

A given, don’t join, if you’re already there start looking
Bullet would have been a humane layoff method. No skills. No future. Too fat. Too dumb.
This is not the right place to ask that question
What is the right place to ask for layoffs? Send a mail to DJ?
"Opinions of people on this site are not exactly unbiased."
That cuts both ways.
Oracle sales forecast are the junk of the junk, the garbage of the garbage, the sh– of sh–, you get the point ...
I left late last year mainly because I didn't believe in OCI or that it would be successful in the long term. I wasn't 100% "see ya" but I leaned heavy enough on the "gotta move on voluntarily before everyone else has to at the same time" option. The OCI big shots seemed to be a lot more interested in meeting self-imposed impossible deadlines than creating the best or in some cases viable products. The primary goals that seemed to change every 1.5 weeks impressed upon me that their long term vision was like driving in the fog with vision limited to a foot in front of the bumper.
Oh, so we're believing the "forecast" of sales lies now? OCI is toast and you'd be foolish to hook up with them thinking you have a future. Just look at Oracle's public cloud wins and reputation - they can't even qualify to bid on an rfp ! The latest slap in the face is they aren't considered important enough in the tech industry for the DOJ to investigate along with MS, Amazon, Google....
And what exactly has OCI produced, how competitor or not is it, and therefore what are the chances that the 3 stooges will continues this investment?
What a bunch of BS going on this site. OCI projects are running at full speed now and forecast could not be better.. of course nothing is without risk.
But Poster, this is not the right place to ask that question. Opinions of people on this site are not exactly unbiased.
Peace
Dropped load. Magic 8 Ball say fedex paperwork is on its way.
I’m even taking toilet paper and towels from the restrooms while I can. And non-dairy creamer.
Microsoft just signed $2 billions cloud azure contract with AT&T. Was Oracle working with AT&T for their cloud??
Microsoft just signed $2 billion Azure cloud contract: it seems to me this is at the expense of OCI.
Your job is to migrate tenancy to Microsoft Azure. Have a good day.

Understand that OCI is there to make it seem like oracle has a cloud offering; not to actually provide a working, competitive cloud offering. A Potemkin village as it were. As such its time is going to come to an end sooner rather than later. Plus, what is your resume going to look like? “Pretended to develop cloud offerings which went nowhere” what kind of next job is that going to get you!
OCI at this rate will get axed in near future. Plan for exiting in an year or so (May be wise to get cash joining bonus in place of stock).
