If you request a day off do you need to put in PTO?

It seems that some that put in a day off request get to still work a extra day to make up their 40 hours. But others are told no they will be off 3 days and will not be scheduled for 40 hours. Why is it ok for one to get 40 hours scheduled and not the other one if you request a day off?

Our club is not doing block scheduling especially for the front end . They still have the old lead MSS doing it Plus we have a part time MSS which was supposed to go away ...With Rotating weekends and they cherry pick there schedule. We also have our club manager pick her managers we had one team lead that brown nosed her way right up the corporate ladder O and check this out she can stay in the store she was a lead at. It’s crazy our club manager doesn’t come speak to the members .. Market manager does nothing every time he come we r not up too par but she still remains in charge. Also we have our Inventory next week 😂. T-b-cco just lost 14,000 I am sure it will be bad. But guess what ? We will still have clueless in charge cause they got rid of all the good managers to get these young rookies that can’t run the club . But hey if u don’t care why should I..... We had cashiers stealing from us in 5 days $ 1000.00 nothing was done and they knew all about it. The mess goes on... they got the leads making what is long term associates making

Can you just put in for 3 days unpaid in the request? Your regular two and the day you want in addition?

Walmart here, our new scheduler system schedules you regular days off if you ask for a pto day. So we have to ask for the PTO day and unpaid days off for our regular days off. Hope this helps. I don't know if your system is the same or similar.

If you have a set schedule, they will keep those usual days off unscheduled unless you ask and are granted to work that day.

I took 2 PTO days a couple weeks ago and was scheduled one of my regular days off. Should have had 4 days off but only got 3😡

It depends if you request to get the day paid or not... if you request it off without pay they can schedule you enough days to complete your hours...
