Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Anyone pressured to avoid honesty on the employee survey?

We just got a reminder/veiled threat (typical in my group) as follows: “the employee survey may not be anonymous so be careful what you write”. Ethics violation? I may play my recording for HR Ethics opinion. This may be just my XDX org leader where this type of behavior is her daily style of instilling fear and mistrust. What does everyone on here think? Have you experienced this pressure? Clearly some are afraid of what the employees are thinking and how it may affect them.

Well obviously it got back to the EC and HR that pressure was being applied to “encourage” positive responses whether or not true. That’s why Suzanne Morno Wade sent out the email reinforcing that the surveys are anonymous. There’s a group lawsuit by employees waiting to happen if they terminate anyone because of
their honest survey responses...

LOL - I always added suggestions on how to improve things and added my name to it if they wanted more detail. I was brutally honest - chalk it up to my Crucial Conversations training... :-)

Hmmm- so the same people who have:
1) reduced the severance to practically nothing
2) outsourced thousands of jobs to HCL
3) screwed the employees out of 401k contributions
4) changed the already lousy insurance to an even c-appier plan
5) will most likely squander the pension plan
6) act like this company is the corporate staffs personal checkbook
7) fire people who disagree with them
8) brought in dozens of highly paid people who know nothing about this business and can’t be bothered to learn about
NOW care about what you think??? Oh okay...

"You folks in XBS GIS are hilarious" is always a great way to demand respect for whatever jerky thing gets typed next. Clearly XBS doesn't have years of experience with smoke and mirrors. Just another reason everyone should be even more bitter.

There was an announcement yesterday that the survey is only going to be broken down to the senior VP level so unless you are a high level broadband reporting directly to one of them chances are your direct manager and even his manager will not be seeing a report directed at him/her.

just answer what you think honestly, funny we just had an email from wade for this, my manager did say 'be careful what you write' I didnt listen,I think its clear xrx will not get a lot of good marks from this survey, will it do any good? doubtful, they got crucified a few years back, some managers got a ticking off but nothing really changed. Damage has been done a long time ago from burns' era.In some respect I hope xrx gets bought out/merge ,thats the only way the culture will change from this TOXIC management.

You can write down whatever you think - the truth is, nobody cares.

You folks in XBS GIS are hilarious. These surveys are ancient. You’ll notice they are never consistently done nor consistent applied YOY. So, nobody can see trends on a mgr or mgt team. It’s quite deliberate. And if there is a negative rate in your group?? You get to fix it “as a team project” and mgrs have more “commutations” meetings for a little while. Until they don’t survey again next year and all is forgotten or different administration jumps to blames old stupid guard.

There’s been layoffs in Xerox legacy every year for 15 yrs now.—— an HR survey will fix morale or behavior??!! HILARIOUS!!

Don't bother with HR or ethics hotline. This is Carl Icky's house now and he's not a fan of ethics. You guys are pretty much on your own. Best thing is to leave this horrow show asap

Core technician here. I spoke with 2 other techs and we all answered it honestly. If you lie because you feel pressure that’s an ethics issue and should be reported. Lying will only make them think that we are all happy with what’s going on

We did not get any pressure about the survey at our core. I answered the survey 100% honestly and was very candid with my responses. I did not leave a glowing review for Xerox. I don’t think it will matter either way though. Nothing will change.

Its administered by an independent company so it is anonymous. But i would report the pressure anyway. Its a typical management tactic. Been going on for years !!

The one reply from 10d5soQM-obj states “Don’t let HER pressure you.......”. My question is the person pressuring you a her?

Jeez yes that is a call to the ethics hotline. It’s anonymous. Don’t let her pressure you on that one.
