Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

I made 48k last year packing out cookies as a FTOW why wouldn't I stay till the bitter end

Can someone tell me a good reason to start looking now vs just waiting till the sweet release of no more DSD and unemployment is burned through

I have actually worked multiple jobs. If you honestly believe this is the best you can get treatment wise as an employee, clearly you haven't had another job.

Is this the worst place? No. Is it the best? Certainly not. For me it's middle of the pack at best.

My point was plenty of comments on here make it sound like they're miserable. You need to make that choice.

Don’t let the labor budget be why you think this job is miserable. Don’t listen so closely to the time stores give you. That’s always unrealistic. Just keep it reasonable somewhere around 30 Cpish unless you’re moving a lot of already worked product around it’s usually doable expectations. I don’t rush or k–l myself I’ll talk to store employees and other vendors a few minutes here and there. If the boss has something to say I don’t care. I’m not leaving the stores half @$$ed because then they will complain about that

Answer to some questions

  1. 85hr, bonuses and OT

My Bills equal only 1/2 my take home pay

I made decent money as well as a SR, so that's always a reason to stay. And even this year with all the constraints on OT I still should do pretty well.

However, that's kinda part of the point: that's ALL that seems to be worth staying for. Also it seems like every month they're tightening the screws trying to get blood from a stone with cutting hours all while adding more work. The job itself has become less enjoyable overall. It's a job, I get it. You don't have to enjoy it. But there is a fine line between not enjoying your job and sticking it out in misery because you want the pay.

That's a choice only you can make.

💵🐄 person and Uber rich SR, better be planning for a rainy day! How many months of bills do you have saved up? That’s the question! People that leave to find new wok don’t have to do that, if you stay till the end, you need to! Who knows how long it will take to find work? You must think you may not make as much, otherwise you would move on. My FTOW, already settles in somewhere else making great money! Easier to find a job when you have one. I don’t need a job, I’m retiring, otherwise I’d use my degree and move on. So glad I finished my degree! Plenty of jobs out there for those that did!
