Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Privecy Is gone

I want to thank whoever got rid of the PTC position, I felt safe telling my issues to because it would never leak. Well I had to tell a manager what was going on in my life, I thought it would stay between us and now the whole building know I had to get a penicillin shot. I feel violated and will be quitting after 6 yrs of service

Lately mangers are nothing but cut throat you tell them something, and thinking it's safe, but you are wrong, they are even turning associate against each other.which is wrong.lately I didn't feel like I want to work for Sam's club, but it's not Sam's it's the so called Managers that needs to go.

Even if you feel this is a HIPAA violation you will need to have a proven case of a HIPAA violation through HHS. I am only a internet lawyer so take this advice with a grain of salt.

The OP sounds like they already have an out plan and are ready to venture on to a new destination.

Telling a manager something personal is like posting in the daily newspaper or local news.

All management is HIPPA trained. Plus rule # 1 is " Need to Know".

I would say it is more of a breach of trust. At best it could be an ethics violation but you would have to prove only that manager had knowledge of your condition.

Most businesses are not subject to HIPAA. At Sam's the only departments that would have to be cautious to not get a HIPAA violation would be Optical, Hearing, and the Pharmacy.

This could be a HIPPA violation if your manager repeated something that was related to a medical condition.
