I’ve worked for Sam’s Club for almost 4 years. I’ve received .44 cents in raises during my time there. I work at the fuel station and members are rude and curse me on a daily basis. If your paying $15 why can’t the fuel station attendants make that too? Not to mention many members don’t wear face coverings and they want to you to help them? Management changes your schedule without your knowledge and getting a lunch is near impossible. We have had 4 gas station attendants quit in my time there..

I work in the cafe and i think i speak on the rest of the crew WHY ARE WE NOT GETTING THE DAMN PAY TOO!!!! we bust our asses to not only take care of members cook food and everything else they ask us to do OUT OF OUR DEPARTMENT to get nothing. Not to mention the childish team leads! And a manager that ive never seen make a pizza or step foot in the cafe since ive been there. (Over 2 and a half years ive been there!) They try to give you points for things that make no sense and on top of that talk behind our bck? CAFE WORKERS IS IT ANY BETTER AT UR STORE??? Ive been looking for a new job but inside sams club or walmart but im scared of retaliation if i do try and find something that or if they find out try to fire me. Everyday im scared if i do the smallest thing they are going to find something. And im a damn good worker! But as soon as you put your foot down about how they treat you then they came out you with just the smallest things CHILDISH THINGS! just because you see that what being done is wrong. I could go on but this isnt what we are talking about! Thank you for letting me vent!

What about claims. Every day lifting heavy returns. I have had to pay out of pocket for tendentious. Now I’m paying for therapy for a swollen rotator cuff. Been here 5 years. People walk in making what I do. Not fair

Produce needs a raise! Fax and pull are now making $15 whereas Produce still haven't received a raise! We do a lot, we make the most and best sells and still nothing. We've been promised a raise for well over a year now and nothing is being done about it. This company has been going downhill. It is not fair.

Now even certified pharmacy tech are making less than meat and bakery associates. Totally unfair and disrespect to the profession. With that being said I'm not saying that their wage should stay low, but pharmacy tech also need a raise.

Are deli associates getting a raise? Since we lost our ability to order I've gone from one to 2 small pallets of deli in the back to 7 to 14 pallets. Plus, I have empty spaces in the deli where we are out of an item for a week to sometimes weeks at a time. My job has basically gotten 10 times harder and corporate is clueless as to how much more work they are putting on us. Technology is best when it's assisting you with something not when it's on it's own with people having no ability to correct problems. Its was 10 times easier to order myself. It's going to be really bad when bakery and the meat department go to automated ordering especially in the holiday season. There literally will be no room for everything in the coolers. My advice to management is let people do their jobs! I am 100 times better than any algorithm when it comes to ordering!

I am a long term associate and lead. I did not get a raise as I made too much and was disappointed to discover that no raises were coming for the rest of the associates. So today they announced some raises but once again have left out some of the people who work very hard and have had to adjust to an lifestyle changing schedule. I really do not understand why the company just can't go ahead and give everyone their very deserved raises.
I know that the fresh areas drive profit in the clubs but they also have higher margins on their items. They do work hard, I've see it, I've did it for years. They don't work any harder than the floor associates who have to stock the club, the cashiers who have to take the abuse from unhappy members because they are the last people they see.
The company just needs to treat the associates as the most valuable assets that they are and everything else will follow. Increase sales, profit, goodwill among the associates and hopefully become a place that people will point to as a place they want to work.
As long as greed and the stock price are the driving factors then I'm afraid that will not happen. I don't think my statement here will make a difference with the home office but maybe it will find its way to someone in the decision process

I think forklift drivers should make more. It is a skill and it can hurt people if not done right. A baker is a non skill.

They could at least bump the merchandisers up to 13 and Forklift operators 14 an hour. Whats the incentive to become forklift certified if you make no more than merchandisers. Trust me driving a lift is not fun and can b3 quiet stressful.

Everyone deserves a pay increase it’s only the right thing to do or you are still going to lose good working people and cause problems between workers I say we go UNION because you might have to do somebody’s job that makes more while you are still at your pay

In the club I am at, there have not been any lead positions available for quite some time. I was in a receiving role for 20 plus years, currently "relocated" to a different, lower paying position due to job elimination. I am maxed out in my pay grade and will never get another raise, and now joe blow off the street with 1 day on the job, will be making what it took me years of merit raises and awesome job evaluations to achieve. My job performance just went down a notch or two. There is no longer incentive to go above and beyond.

The positions that received an increase are specialized roles.

If your job consists of 90% stocking, why would you expect a huge jump in pay?

As for the last comment, you probably spent years composing about not getting competitive pay. Now that the company is moving in that direction, you complain that you aren't getting even more than you're already getting. Question: since you want more pay, why aren't you a team Lead or manager since you've been there so long?

You will not get a pay increase if you are over the base pay...longevity loyalty and hard working don't mean a thing

They just changed Meat back to Meat/Deli.. and there's Freezer/Cooler/Deli... Where does that leave Deli? This position has been placed in Meat and Prepared Foods in the past and no one knows where the actual job belongs anymore? Either way this is going to create so much animosity.. should have just gave everyone a $3 pay raise and been done with it..

All the cleaning inside and outside on the lot, cleaning up chemical spills, blood spills things we have to replace and maintain like lights and painting and working where needed.

And then there is the cart guys in the 95 degree heat making $11!

It’s like this company loves to create animosity among associates

So the floor merchandisers that do the work of many and have to know and do multiple jobs and have more contact with the members get nothing? Bakery should have to stock their own cat#48 and #37. And meat stock the freezer/cooler areas. (I believe they get the credit for the sales) (then they should do the work) There is a lot of experienced and knowledgeable merchandisers that need to be recognized by giving them pay increases as well. Everything should go back to "personal performances"

We want our members to expect something special at Sam’s Club. We know this starts with awesome associates delivering a great member experience, which is why we’re serious about investing in our associates. We’ve increased pay for team leads, given every associate a Plus Membership, announced new fresh training, implemented more consistent schedules, rolled out new technology and tools to make your jobs easier, and we’re not stopping there.

Today, we have more exciting news to share – we’re increasing pay for even more associates.
To attract and keep great associates and to continue developing the ladder of opportunity within our clubs, starting Aug. 3, the jobs listed below will have a minimum rate increase. You’ll also note below that we’re updating some job titles in an effort to drive role clarity and further simplify hiring for these roles.

Current Title New Title
Current Structure Min New Structure Min
Meat II Sr. Meat Cutter $12.50 $17.00
Bakery II Cake Decorator $12.50 $16.00
Meat I Meat Cutter / Wrapper $11.00 $15.00
Bakery I Baker / Packager $11.00 $15.00
TBC Tire Tech TBC Tire Tech $12.50 $15.00
Prepared Food IHMS & Rotisserie $11.00 $15.00

No Produce or Cafe meaning they are putting you in the same position as merchandisers and do not give a c-ap if you stay or go. You can be very easily replaced.

No produce. Only HMS/rotisserie in prepared foods.

And no compensation if you are above the minimum.

What about the frontend people that have to hear all the members complaining because all the lines are so long because there aren't enough employees to keep them happy. They complain about all products that they have been buying for years and now we don't carry them anymore. I have had so many members say they aren't renewing their membership. I don't begrudge others getting paid well when they have positions that dictate the raise.
