Company raises and shortsighted strategy

I am a long term associate and lead. I did not get a raise as I made too much and was disappointed to discover that no raises were coming for the rest of the associates. So today they announced some raises but once again have left out some of the people who work very hard and have had to adjust to an lifestyle changing schedule. I really do not understand why the company just can't go ahead and give everyone their very deserved raises.
I know that the fresh areas drive profit in the clubs but they also have higher margins on their items. They do work hard, I've see it, I've did it for years. They don't work any harder than the floor associates who have to stock the club, the cashiers who have to take the abuse from unhappy members because they are the last people they see.
The company just needs to treat the associates as the most valuable assets that they are and everything else will follow. Increase sales, profit, goodwill among the associates and hopefully become a place that people will point to as a place they want to work.
As long as greed and the stock price are the driving factors then I'm afraid that will not happen. I don't think my statement here will make a difference with the home office but maybe it will find its way to someone in the decision process

Mr. Sam would not agree with anything going on with his name sake. I thought if you take care of your associates they will take care of the members.

The Merchanidsing Team as it is now called, have to take quite a few CBL's and learn other areas. I believe that alone warrants a raise.

It’s the long term people that should be getting a raise. I have been capped for 9 years now. I have worked very hard for this company. I have watched manager come and go for years. If I hadn’t taking out a 401 k loan I would have left by now. ☹️

Please leave. That is meant in all professionalism and intelligence. This company is not worth it.
There is plenty of other companies hiring great people. Sam's is going technology driven specific.
People are not their future. It's really the only thing they can do. Even working at walmart is better than Sam's these days and it didnt used to be that way.

The raises are being introduced in waves, everyone is going to get their raises. And the difference in the fresh areas and floor associates are huge. Fresh associates in Meat, Bakery, HMS, Rotisserie, and Cafe create items one by one, are responsible for higher cleanliness standards, and the health of our members. Food service safety is a huge responsibility that floor associates do not have to worry about or train for.
